K2 (also known as Savage Mountain, Mountaineer's Mountain, Mount Godwin-Austen and in Balti Chogori (the big mountain) is the second highest mountain on Earth, after Mount Everest With a peak elevation of 8,611 m (28,251 feet), K2 is part of the Karakoram Range and is located on the border between Baltistain in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan and the Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous country of Xinjiang, China.
It is more hazardous to reach K2 from the Chinese side; thus, it is mostly climbed from the Pakistani side.
K2 is known as the Savage Mountain due to the difficulty of ascent and the second-highest fatality rate among the "eight thousandners " for those who climb it.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival in Islamabad, transfer to the hotel and briefing in the Alpine Club of Pakistan, over night in hotel
Day 02: Drive to Chilas (12 - 14 hours) Over night in hotel
Day 03: Drive to Skardu (10 - 12 hours) over night in hotel
Day 04: Rest and preparation day for trek in Skardu, over night in hotel Day
05: Drive to Askole (6-8 hours) over night in camp
Day 06: Trek to Jola (4 - 5 hours) over night in camp
Day 07: Trek to Paju (5 - 6 hours) over night in camp
Day 08: Rest day at Paju
Day 09: Trek to Urdokas (8 - 9 hours) over night in camp
Day 10: Trek to Goro II (5 - 6 hours) over night in camp
Day 11: Trek to Concordia (5 - 6 hours) over night in camp
Day 12: Rest day for porters & day excursion for Trekkers to K-2 BC and back to Concordia
Day 13: Trek Back to Goro I (5 -6 hours) over night in camp
Day 14: Trek Back to Khoburse (6 - 7 hours) over night in camp
Day 15: Trek to Jola (7 - 8 hours) over night in camp
Day 16: Trek to Askole (4 - 5 hours) over night in camp
Day 17: Drive to Skardu (6 - 8 hours) over night in hotel
Day 18: Drive to Chilas

Day 20: Rest day and debriefing day in Islamabad
